Startup Gauntlet: by Startup Leadership Program (SLP)
The Startup Gauntlet is a gathering of top DC-area entrepreneurs, angels, and business experts from the SLP network who are ready to hear about your startup and put it through the gauntlet! The event will start with an introduction to our experts and their top tips for venture success and then will quickly open up to the main event, a time for startup entrepreneurs to share specifically about their ventures. The experts will in a direct, but no BS manner, identify areas of venture weakness and ask for your comebacks. This will be in a small group conversational setting (not on stage), so, no pressure. Come ready to improve your venture and venture ideas. When you see how SLP can help your venture, we invite you to apply for the Startup Leadership Program! (You may apply for the SLP even if you cannot make the event.)

Meet and make serious connections with other members of the startup community
Identify key areas for concern and opportunities for success through shop talk with startup entrepreneurs who have been there

Who is invited:
The SLP encourages all DC-area startups or idea stage entrepreneurs to join. Especially underrepresented groups such as women, and minorities. If you THINK You are interested in this event or the SLP 6-month training program, then this is the event for you, and you should come out!
About Startup Leadership Program:
SLP is a highly selective 6-month training program and lifetime network for high-potential founders and innovators. The program runs as a nonprofit, taking no equity from the founders, and takes place each year in 27 cities (in 12 countries) concurrently. Past SLP Fellows have founded more than 1,000 companies and raised over $450 million.
The Startup Gauntlet and the SLP is targeted at early stage startup entrepreneurs. Come out and bring your ideas, 30-second pitch, and get ready to talk talk talk about your venture. The entrepreneurs and mentors who are hosting will ask you tough questions about your business, with the goal to get you thinking about how to be the most competitive you can.
