About Monika Lionaite

Monika Lionaite is a globally recognized innovation strategist, international speaker, mixed-media artist, and Rotarian member, shaping the future at the crossroads of technology, creativity, and leadership.

As the Founder and CEO of Openhack 2020 Australia, Monika leads global initiatives such as Hack4Future, ArtHacks, and AI Hacks — connecting diverse minds to solve real-world problems in risk management, climate resilience, mental health, and ethical AI.

Her work has informed policy recommendations for organizations including the UN, UNESCO, and governments worldwide.

She’s contributed to the AI Maturity Index developed by Harvard researchers, served as Stockholm Head of the Nordic-China Startup Forum, and co-launched She Loves Tech startup competitions across the Nordics, Baltics, and Australia — empowering women-led startups globally. 

Monika is known by the artist nickname LionM Art, where she merges abstract expressionism, art therapy, and storytelling to bridge emotion and innovation, exhibiting works across Europe, the U.S., and Australia.

She has also served as a jury member and mentor for innovation programs hosted by Google, Global Peace Chain, PropTech Championships, and AI & Robotics Challenges.

Recently, she shared stages with thought leaders like Ken Honda (Happy Money) and Yoshua Bengio (Turing Award Winner & “Godfather of Deep Learning”) at World Summit AI 2025.

Monika currently serves as Executive Director and Secretary of the Rotary Club of Sundbyberg, one of Stockholm’s oldest clubs, and as Youth Chair of the Royalist Association in Sweden, supporting civic leadership and youth empowerment.
