TechHub Riga Meetup

Join our Monthly Meetup that takes place at the New Premises of TechHub Riga on Kalku street 12/14 (entrance from Kaleju street)! Our speaker Tiit Paananen (https://www.linkedin.com/in/tiitpaananen) will share what differences there are in starting a new venture in old economy and new economy using examples of Skype, Põhjala brewery and UAV Factory.

Plus, we'll also have MightyFingers (http://mightyfingers.com/) CEO Guntis Smaukstelis (https://www.linkedin.com/in/guntis), who'll tell the story behind the games and their MightyEditor. Finally, join a talk with VC firm Fiedler Capital (http://www.fiedlercapital.com/), investing up to €200000 in CEE startups, and Oxygen Accelerator (http://www.oxygenaccelerator.com/), one of the top tier UK-based accelerators, who have accelerated 45 startups and helped them raise over €3.3million investment to date.

As always, we will have our Talent Pitch! This is an opportunity for startups to pitch for talent. Startups can apply to get 2 minutes to talk about their company, who are they looking for and why people should join. If you are looking for a startup job, or a founder looking for co-founders, you are welcome to present. If you want to pitch for talent, you have to apply to alise.lezdina@techhub.com and send maximum 3 slides to show on screen, summarizing your startup and who you are looking for. Deadline is 6 PM on January 6th. TechHub members have priority to pitch for talent if we have too many requests!

There will also be live Idea Pitch session! You will have 2 minutes to spread your ideas out in the crowd! Maybe you have an idea of the next Skype? This is where you start! Immediate crowd feedback accompanied with possible partners from the other meetup members! Sounds fun? It is fun!
