eChai Ventures and Upsquare are launching AI Actions Lab, a joint initiative to help founders, businesses, industries, professionals, and institutions across India explore and adopt AI in their work.
As part of AI Actions Lab, we are hosting AI Cafe every Friday, 4 pm to 7 pm at House of Starts, Ahmedabad.
Chai and cookies on the house. Bring your laptop. Wi-Fi is sorted. Pull up a chair and get to work.
AI Cafe is the simplest version of what a lot of people are looking for. A place to show up, do your work, and be around others who are curious about AI or actively building with it.
You set your own agenda. Work on what matters to you. Good things happen when interesting people share a table.
The folks next to you might be shipping a product, learning a new tool, running experiments, or figuring out where AI fits into their business. Conversations happen naturally. You compare notes, swap tools, help each other debug something. Some of the best ideas come from these unplanned exchanges.
Towards the end, some folks showcase what they are working on. Quick demos, works in progress, early experiments. Completely optional, but always interesting.

AI Terrace Mixer brings founders, operators and builders together for an evening of conversations about AI, set in an open terrace space that makes it easy to meet people one conversation at a time.

Franchising is how a lot of food brands go from a couple of outlets to a real presence across cities. But getting it right is hard. The brands that scale well treat franchisees as actual partners, build systems that hold up across locations, and stay disciplined about who they bring on board.
This eChai event is co-hosted by eChai Ventures, PetPooja and DevX. We will hear from food founders who have grown through the franchise route. They will talk about when to start franchising, how to pick the right partners, what to standardize and what to leave flexible, and how to keep quality consistent as the network grows.
We will also get into the unit economics. What a healthy franchise model looks like, how revenue gets split, what support franchisees actually need, and the mistakes that cost brands the most in their early franchise push.
