Prerequisites & Preparation

Smartphone, laptop, your ideas,  Come prepared to interact and get down with wireframing.

Why use Wireframes and other Prototyping Methods?

If you want to compete these days with your new or existing mobile app, product or service, it's probably best to leverage the latest trends, methods and tools available. A compelling user interface along with great user experience will go a long way to capturing your targeted audience, gaining marketshare and obtaining that illusive revenue stream for your solution to maintain sustainability.

Story Telling, Wireframing, There is no difference.  What's yours?

To achieve your goals, you must convincingly convey the story of your solution to potential investors, customers, partners and others.  Successfully pitching the story of your mobile app, service or product to potential investors is critical.  Convincing potential co-founders/partners, contractors and others to help design and develop your solution is crucial.  Marketing the story of your solution to potential customers/end users is essential.

Story telling is not just for pitching and marketing your solution.  Wireframing sometimes allows you to explain the verbally un-explainable.  Wireframing and prototyping are a great way to begin the process of defining and telling the story of your idea.  These days, it may be almost essential to put pencil to paper or leverage tools to conceptualize the general layout, flow, and structure of your mobile app or web solution.  It's a great way to brainstorm and think through all the details and processes.  It's logical method of determine navigation and negotiation of content, media and data.  Wireframing and other types of prototyping are great way to increase usability of your UI through increased user experience best practices.

Cheaper in the end.

Bottom line, the more of the ideation, design, research and development you do yourself, the less you pay, partner and/or enlist the help of others now or later.  More design, productivity, workflow along with less headaches, corrections and money.

Hey, enough said.  If you want to jumpstart your new or existing idea?  If you are sitting around with a great idea but don't know where to begin or can't afford to enlist the help of professional designers and developers, this workshop is for you.  If you are a startup and just want to understand the concepts before you take the next great leap and begin planning or executing, this workshop is for you.  If you are just curious or want to add a new skill/knowledge to your professional/personal tool belt, join us to learn and engage.
