Between breakfast and lunch this Saturday, we'll begin working on really solving the issue of mobility.
Our hypothesis is that we can do the same that is being done in the USA (supported by NASA), faster and better here in the Stavanger Region. We will solve mobility with technology that will make the journey both cheaper and better for society, and finally replace the need for the car, as we know it today.
See this video for a quick introduction: https://vimeo.com/280350283/033635c4e9
We need to discuss hardware, software, propulsion systems, urban planning, and new services that will emerge and be needed for a new transportation system.
Everybody is welcome; mechanics, propulsion experts, engineers, people working within economics, or analytics, handymen, electricians, software developers, architects, humanists etc, etc.
The morning will be split into 3 phases.
- Introduction to the idea and the criteria for success and cooperation. (We'll need some rules.)
- Groups will be put together to make the first drafts of requirements for hardware, software, propulsion mechanisms, and economic prerequisites.
- Cross balancing - gather information from the groups, describe the next hack based on our findings. Or cancel the idea.
Recommendations. Watch the video and think about it. This could grow to be something really big. It will take many hacks, and many iterations, before a final product may start to crystallize into something somebody will want to fund. You should be ready to cooperate, listen, and give your voice to the process.
Show up 10 minutes early to be registered. This hack, and any possible future ones will give you points based on hours used and effort put in. Should the project be realized and funded, these points will be converted into shares.
Finally, we appreciate if you bring a friend you know will be triggered by being part of something like this, that may be the start of a gigantic adventure.
Women, multicultural, white men, students, academics, and professional people of all ages are welcome.
Please register, so that we can know how much coffee and biscuits to provide!
