About us
There are so many opportunities to be involved in creating some of the most fun STEM/STEAM education technology events and outreach efforts here in the Silicon Valley. I have been volunteering for many years and met many wonderful people. Volunteering is a great way to get out and meet people and tech related volunteering is especially fun! I hear of many organizations and events which need some enthusiastic volunteers to help put on their robotics workshop/maker faire/STEM festival/math competition/science fair/etc. Won't you join me and hear about all the fun events you can help with? If you know of a STEM related event which needs volunteers, please post it here or let me know and I will post it. Then we can meet at the event.
Disclaimer: No screening of volunteers is offered or implied. A signup here does not constitute an official volunteer submission - this group is only to facilitate social connections associated with volunteering. Most groups needing volunteers will require a volunteer application through their own website. All groups seeking volunteers are responsible for their own volunteer screening.

Make: Community
School Maker Faire® is independently organized and operated under license from Make Community, LLC.
About Maker Faire
Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community. The original Maker Faire event was held in San Mateo, CA in 2006. Since then, hundreds of independently produced Maker Faires, both global extravaganzas and small, community events, have taken place around the world.
About Make: Magazine

Make: unites, inspires, informs, and entertains a growing community of resourceful people who undertake amazing projects in their backyards, basements, and garages. Make: celebrates your right to tweak, hack, and bend any technology to your will.
