October Walk, Street Wisdom & Art Appreciation
Details
Are you ready for some Street Wisdom and Creativity?
Our October Walk will feature some of both.
We’ll meet In front of the Plains Art Museum at 3:00pm. The address Is 704 1st Ave. N., Fargo. Parking is available in the museum parking lot and on the street.
We’ll begin with walking in manner inspired by David Pearl, who created the nonprofit organization Street Wisdom to encourage people worldwide with an enjoyable way to get better at living.
David suggests that the attention and skills it takes to safely navigate in a city while walking are the same skills needed to help us navigate the challenges of modern life.
So, after introductions and catching up with each other we'll do some stretches and then will pursue some Street Wisdom for about an hour before returning to the museum to view Jaque Fragua’s Ghost Writing exhibit. (Admission is free.)
Please feel free to join is for all or part of our activities.
Newcomers and guests are always welcome!
RSVPs are always helpful with planning for the event.
Suggestions: Wear good tennis shoes, bring a water bottle, and please feel free to stay after the event and socialize in the parking lot.
***In case of heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds, this walk will be cancelled and an e-mail will go out notifying everyone. If we’re getting a light rain without lightning and strong winds, the walk will take place. ***
