Perfect place to feel the weather changes...as we prepare for winter walking..Piha Beach has everything you want to get off the concrete and perhaps get your toes wet or simply soak in the wild west coast location...famous to Auckland..

We'll also visit some hidden ponds where there's frogs and birds and see how the local residents of Piha have lived here for many years..

Our feature walk to the Kitekite Waterfalls is in the afternoon..in the wilderness of Piha Valley...following a boardwalk and tracks to view these 3 level tiered Falls located in amongst huge Kauri Trees and others here ..completing a loop about 4 hours of leisurely walking and socializing..and gentle exercise.

Fabulous nature photo opportunities throughout this Easy Medium level of walking fitness required..We'll stop lots to pause and chat about the history here today, its people and look at identifying some trees for anyone interested.

Bring along everything you need to keep yourself happy outdoors in these colder areas away from the sun..Wear strong walking shoes and carry everything in a small backpack with your lunch and water etc.
