Great North Walk, Berowra National Park FULL or HALF DAY HIKE
Details
Have you been wanting to experience some of the very best hiking Sydney has to offer? Then **Berowra National Park is calling.**
DUER TO REQUESTS : WE ARE CREATING THIS HIKE AS EITHER 10 / 18 OR 27KM
This way you can still be challenged at YOUR LEVEL.
On this challenging day hike we’ll follow sections of the **Great North Walk**, starting at Cowan and making our way through rugged bushland to Mt Kuring-gai. If you’re still feeling strong, we’ll continue on to Berowra Station, completing an incredible journey through one of Sydney’s most beautiful national parks.
This hike will test you with steep climbs, creek crossings, and long stretches of wilderness, but the rewards are worth every step. Expect magnificent valley views, deep forest trails, and that wonderful feeling of being completely immersed in nature.
In total the full route is around 28km, with over 1000m of elevation gain, if you complete the entire track — making it perfect training for anyone preparing for an international trekking adventure.
With daylight saving on our side, we’ll have plenty of daylight to enjoy the trail — plus a long weekend afterwards to recover.
The great thing about this hike is its flexibility. With train stations at Cowan, Mt Kuring-gai, and Berowra, there are plenty of options to shorten the distance or even join part way along the route.
