Putty Beach to Little Beach Day Hike , Bouddi National Park

Details
Starting at Killcare, we begin our day with a beach walk. We walk along Killcare & Putty Beach. We cut through Putty Beach car park and start our first climb to our first view point and then onto our first lookout, Marie Byles Lookout. Palm Beach can be seen in the distance.
From here, we continue into the bush along Bullimah Spur Track and then follow Stroms Trail walking parallel with Scenic Drive through eucalypt trees. These tracks meander through bushland with sweeping views across to the ocean and Maitland Bay.
We then turn towards the coastline and cross a spur taking us to our highest point on the walk, Mount Bouddi. The trail descends from Mount Bouddi to the Coast track just north of Maitland Bay. We pass another lookout point on the descent back towards the coastline.
We follow the coast track and then veer off onto the Old Quarry track before swinging back around to head to Little Beach, a beautiful small beach with one of the most scenic campsites near Sydney. We are just over our halfway point.
After a break, we follow the coastal trail back to Maitland Bay. The first section is inland taking us through rainforest, before bringing us to the coastline where we have sweeping views for the remainder of the walk. The trail is undulating. Just before Maitland Bay we will walk out to Bouddi Point for spectacular views south and down to Maitland Bay. We may spot the remains of the SS Maitland, an old steam ship that ran aground in 1898. When we descend to Maitland Bay, if the tide is low, we can walk to the shipwreck for a closer look at what remains.***Can swim here but this is at own risk***
