Sterling Outdoor Volleyball Meetup Group

Welcome to our outdoor volleyball group! Whether you are just learning the basics or have solid intermediate/BB skills, this is a welcoming, energetic space to get outside, play good volleyball, and meet people. No referee, just come play and have fun!

📅 Time & Location

• When: Every Sunday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (2 hours of play).
• Where: The Regal Chase community at the blue volleyball court.
• Surface: High-performance polypropylene modular tiles. Athletic shoes are highly recommended for the best traction and safety!
• Parking: Parking is free anywhere within the community. There are no reserved spots. If you park in the retail area, there is risk of towing (risk is low)

• Checking In: Please check in with the host (Jake Tep) once arrived

👥 Player Limit & RSVPs

• Capacity: Limited to 20 players max each week to ensure everyone gets plenty of playtime.
• Cost: Free
• Place: Once RSVP'd, address will be sent if needed

⚠️ Cancellation Policy

• Late Cancellations: Since this is a free event, please change your RSVP early if you cannot make it so someone on the waitlist can take your spot.
• Weather Permitting: Members will be notified if meetup is cancelled due to inclement weather or court unavailability.

Skill Levels Welcome

• Beginner (B): You know the basic rules, can bump/set/spike somewhat consistently, and are still working on controlled 3-hit plays.
• Intermediate / BB (B/BB): You understand rotations, can pass hard-driven balls, set consistently, and run multi-contact offensive plays.
• Note: We strive to balance play so everyone gets a fun, competitive, and safe game.

What to Expect

• Format: Pick-up style games, King/Queen of the court, volleyball drills, or organized team rotations depending on exact turnout.
• Vibe: Competitive yet friendly. Good sportsmanship and positive energy are required.
• What to Bring:
• Athletic shoes
• Water and electrolytes
• Sunscreen and sunglasses
