Stevens Creek Striders Newbie Run!

Please join us as we introduce you to some of our favorite trails and great views, with lots of new friends!

No trail runner will be left behind on this grand adventure, with distances of 5 to 10 miles (depending on your desired run length). Runners of all skill levels and speeds are welcome. This is the perfect event for first time trail runners or those looking to reconnect with the local trails. After the run, you're more than welcome to join us for a group brunch at Holder's Country Inn (10088 N Wolfe Rd).

We recommend runners bring both water and a small snack just in case they end up out on the trail longer than they thought. Trail running may cover the same number of miles as your normal road run, but can take more time than expected so we would like folks to be prepared.

As every Saturday we are meeting at the dam parking lot along Stevens Canyon Road. There is available free parking adjacent to the paid parking at the Dam. (Just park along the road UNLESS THERE ARE SIGNS DISALLOWING IT. ). See map. (http://goo.gl/maps/lUOW) Or you can pay for parking at the machine near the entrance.

There is a group for every speed and distance. We never leave anyone alone on the trail and always wait for slower runners. There are usually at least 10 of us running each Saturday (rain or shine) but most of us do not sign up via Meetup so don't be discouraged if only a few seem to have signed up.

If the meetup ever gets cancelled then we will remove this invite. Come and join us. There is no need to be a member to join for the Saturday runs, but of course we always welcome people who want to become members.
