Let's Meetup to discuss Freshwater Mussels of the Clinch River

Details
For the month of July, the STFK Science Café is pleased to welcome back a returning speaker, Jeronimo Silva. He is a Ph.D. Student in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. For the next couple of years, he will be working with freshwater mussels investigating mass mortality events in the Clinch River, about two hours northeast from Knoxville. The Clinch has the greatest freshwater mussel biodiversity on Earth, and half of the species there are endangered.
The July meeting of the STFK Science Café will take place at the Bearden Branch Library on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. The library is located at the intersection of Papermill Drive and Kingston Pike. The street address is 100 Golfclub Rd, Knoxville, TN 37919.
Children are welcome to attend any of the Science Café meetings with their parents! For ages 5-12, we offer a Kid's Café program in a nearby area with a science lesson and activities that help make learning science fun! Kids can participate with the permission of their parents while the parents enjoy the adult-level discussion. For proper planning purposes, it is important that our children's director knows in advance how many kids will be attending and their ages.
This meeting is FREE to attend, and everyone is welcome! Seating is limited, so please RSVP on Meetup or by e-mail to rsvp@knoxsciencecafe.org. Adding your name to the RSVP list guarantees your seat(s) until 15 minutes prior to the advertised start time of the meeting. After that, seating is available on a first-come first-served basis. The Fire Marshall's imposed maximum attendance is 47 for this venue.
I hope you will plan to come to what should be a very interesting topic and exciting discussion! Please share this invitation with others who may be interested. The web site for the STFK Science Cafe is http://www.knoxsciencecafe.org.
