7 trail tour of Snow Canyon. 4 mile loop with some scrambling.

We will wait for 5 minutes at the trail head then take off

Main Canyon Loop
Trailhead: Hidden Pinyon Trailhead.

Route: Hidden Pinyon to Whiptail to
scramble over the Petrified Dunes to Butterfly
to Lava Flow, to West Canyon Road
to Red Sands to Hidden Pinyon.

Details: 4-miles of trail plus Petrified Dunes
scrambling and lava tube exploration.
Moderate.

Highlights: The best of the best in SnowCanyon.

Slick rock, lava tubes, contrasting red
and white sands, winding rock passages, and
chances to view raptors, reptiles, and other
canyon wildlife.

I just did this hike today. The weather is good early in the morning and there is some shade from the rock.

There is some scrambling and rough surfaces. We will go at a pretty good pace but we will have time for some photo breaks.

I can meet at the FeelGood Cafe in Ivins parking lot about 10 minutes early if you don’t have a pass.
