The Banned Book Readers Social Club: Fahrenheit 451

The Banned Book Readers Social Club is a new subgroup forming within Still Dreaming, our progressive community for adults 65 and better. This is our very first gathering — a chance to meet fellow readers who share the conviction that books which challenge our thinking, stretch our comfort zones, and unsettle our assumptions are exactly the books worth celebrating, not banning.

Together we’ll read and discuss the titles Florida has tried to remove from shelves — from Toni Morrison to George Orwell — and ask why they were targeted, what they reveal, and what it means to defend the freedom to read. Come ready for honest conversation and good company.

Our first book will be Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451.
