The Topic of Softness

Details

For this group meeting I thought it would be enlightening and healing to discuss softness, as it was, as it currently is in the context of black women, and how it should be or how we feel it should be for us as individuals. This meeting will be pretty relaxed so please come with a snack and be cozy if you can. This is not meant to be a rough conversation but more so an uplifting dialog. To give the meeting some flavor I thought we could discuss the following prompts:
"What is softness to you?"
"Is your idea of softness inherited or is this your interpretation of it?"
"What is your version of softness?"
Softness is not only about how we behave but also how we are treated.
"How do you accept kindness?"
In my journal I've set forth a question that I think would be interesting to contemplate: "If you were a plant writing instructions to your new gardener, what would you write? How would this gardener show you softness?"
