Join us for a heart-filling evening dedicated to connecting with the qualities of grace, loving-kindness, self-support and compassion. In this practice of self-care and renewal, you’ll be guided through gentle restorative poses by Jen Rizza, and wrapped in a nurturing sound bath by Angela Urso.
Valentine’s Day invites us to remember your first love - YOU! Through practices to lift the spirit, find grace through challenge, and calling in intentions of self-love to compassionately meet yourself just as you are, you’ll nourish love from the inside-out. Connecting with self-compassion means to first recognize within yourself that life can be difficult, and that in showering yourself with kindness, love and caring (just like you would for a friend), that you are perfectly imperfect, capable and resilient. From here, standing strong in loving-kindness for yourself, you are better able to hold compassion for others and for humankind.
Throughout the evening, we’ll host space to come into mindful presence, practice self-compassion, and move through supported yoga poses to embrace gentleness and meeting yourself where you, while embraced with soothing sounds from crystal bowls, koshi chimes, rainsticks and ocean drums. The night will guide you into mindful presence, grace, and deep relaxation. We’ll also imbue the room with crystals aligned with compassion—moonstone, selenite, black tourmaline, clear quartz, and labradorite—aimed to support your journey of embracing self-compassion, self-love and inward kindness.
As the evening closes, we’ll come into a heartfelt integration circle, holding space for reflections and gratitude, while honoring what the heart needs. We’ll offer Oracle cards for any special messages you need to receive to amplify self-love and compassion. We invite you to come as you are, bring a yoga mat (or use one of our studio mats), bring any totems or keepsakes that will be meaningful for you, and if you’d like to bring a journal, you will have time to capture anything that feels important to you.
No experience with yoga is required. All poses will be offered to best suit your unique body. We welcome you to share in this heart-centered space and to relax into space to be YOU, cultivating love, humility and kindness for yourself. When you first care for yourself, you become capable of connecting more deeply with others.
