What we’re about

This group is created as a sister group to the Glasgow Autism Meetup group. We are not very active because the organisers are currently busy. The 2 founders of this group have been members and at times organisers of the Glasgow Autism Meetup group for over 10 years. It's currently organised by Owain and Nicola but we need some ideas for events - please send one of the organisers a message with event suggestions because we would like some more people to come to the events.

This group runs in the same fashion of the Glasgow branch. It's for individuals on the Autism spectrum to provide friendship and support to others on the spectrum. At the moment we won't be able to hold Saturday meetups like the Glasgow group, but can hold them on Sundays and weekdays. Attendees can get together either for chat, walks, games, and/or company. We have also met for food and to go to the cinema.
There's no expectations to the degree of conversational participation. If you have a formal diagnosis of an autism spectrum condition, are awaiting diagnosis, suspect you may be on the spectrum and do not wish to pursue diagnosis, then you're welcome to come along.

The group will meet in parks/outdoors, coffee shops environments or in a bar/restaurant. We're open to attendees suggesting new venues and activities for future get-togethers to offer a more locations/activities. Fresh input is welcome :)
There's no cost to joining, and you will find understanding and acceptance whatever your age, or circumstance (as long as you are respectful of other members of course :)
