Mythologies: the hero with a thousand faces

This month we are debating storytelling and myth. Stories and myths have long been instrumental in shaping beliefs, values, and social values. Stories can challenge and mobilise - civil rights movements have drawn on narratives of equality, justice, and liberation; communities preserve cultural heritage, resist colonization, and advocate for land rights and environmental protection through storytelling ; and social media and digital storytelling provide new avenues for sharing experiences and challenging dominant narratives.
