Mars and Venus. Are Men and Women so very different?

Details

In 1992 relationship counsellor released a Book which claimed that most relationship problems between men and women are due to fundamental psychological differences. it suggest that each existed on its own 'planet'.

Since the release of this book our understanding of relationships and genders have changed. Roles for both men and women have changed ( I refer to cis men and women here although hope that our debate can include anyone from the LBGTQI+ group).
I realised after reading Want: Gillian Anderson the world of female fantasy vastly departs for the traditional ideas I was raised with and often includes violence and power, traditionally seen as area men would be interested in.

Some areas worth considering.

Nature vs. Nurture:

Evolutionary Psychology:

Communication Styles:

Emotional Expression:

Cognitive Abilities:

Leadership Styles:

Social Roles and Expectations:

Gender Identity vs. Biological Sex:

Physical and Athletic Abilities:

Intersectionality:

Fantasy/Desires

What this all means for society?

Looking forward to seeing everyone old and new for a classic debate.
