In the Trials by Dawn King a play recently showing at the Tron theatre, we are presented with a scenario where children cast judgment on the previous generations for their actions. In 20 mins they must decide the fate of individuals for their actions and what impact it had on a now ravaged world. The adults in question are afforded a few minutes to defend themselves against a faceless jury of children. Previous generations at least those born in the last 40 years and more have set the world on a trajectory of climate change, war and AI as well as incredible advancements in medical fields, communication and understanding of the world around us. How will the children of today judge us in the future?
