How do we Achieve Social Cohesion?

in Globalised world we are exposed to a wide range of culture, ideas and people. We are all different and diverse in our beliefs when we no longer existst in smaller more isolated communities like in our more distant past. Howdo we we find a way to work together and find comprise? How can we accommodate diversity and include everyone in human development? is it possible and what are the challenges and pitfalls?
