Darn Walk (Bridge of Allan to Dunblane) 🥾 🌳

Details

A suggestion of one of the walking group members (thank you Anna!).

Weather dependent, we are hoping to do the Darn Walk into Dunblane, have some lunch, and then get the train back. Although the event will end once we reach Dunblane, if you wish to also walk back you are more than welcome to!

Where:
We'll meet in Bridge of Allan, on the picnic benches on Blaireforkie Drive, across the river from Allan Park. Together we can then head to the start of the walk.

When:
31st May 11.00 start.

The Walk:
The walk is a fairly easygoing one at just under 3 miles, however due to the terrain being uneven please wear appropriate walking shoes and come dressed for the weather. Even if the day itself is dry it's very likely the trail will be boggy and slippy at points due to the recent rain. There isn't a way to avoid those sections, so please do come prepared.

Full walk details available here: https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fife-stirling/darn-walk.shtml

Lunch:
There are some nice places to get lunch in Dunblane, or the Dunblane Fling is on that we could check out for food. According to their website entry is by donation to the Fling, so perhaps bring some coins along!

If you plan to bring a pet please let us know in advance.

Group Rules Apply.
