Leisurely Walk (University Loch) 🌳🌱🦆🦢🐿

Details

Why not enjoy a leisurely evening walk around the University of Stirling loch? A chance to get some fresh air, see the summer colours and enjoy some good company in a relaxed and friendly environment. The weather forecast is currently reasonable for Thursday evening (19°C, dry with sunny spells).

Set off walking at 7pm on Thursday 24 July.

Meeting from 6.45 pm at benches outside MacRobert Arts Centre at University of Stirling (which is part of the main university building). What3Words is pats.glass.secret

Plenty of parking a short distance away in the main car park (although signage says there are parking charges it is FREE after 5pm and all day at weekends). Bus terminus is at the far end of the car park and cycle racks are available nearby. The postcode for satnav, in case you need it, is FK9 4LA.

The walk is approximately 4 km on established paths, around a third of which are tarmac and the remainder compacted gravel. There are a couple of short inclines but the majority of the route is fairly flat. We will walk at a leisurely pace. On the way you may well see some swans, and almost certainly plenty of ducks and squirrels.

Please message if you intend bringing a dog, to check if other members are ok with this. If dogs are accompanying the group they must be kept on leads at all times, as there is nesting wildlife.

All guests must be accounted for in the numbers. Over 18s only.

Group rules apply.
