Membership Fee Update and Payment Link

Hi All,

It's that time of the year again for us to pay our annual Meetup costs, to keep the group running!

Same as last year, we ask members for a small membership fee and we will continue using a crowdfunding platform to do this.

If you follow the link below then you can donate an amount that feels right for you. We set the suggested amount at £5 per member (which is the minimum amount allowed by this system), however some people may choose to pay more if they wish.

Why we ask for membership fees:

As organisers, we are charged a subscription fee by Meetup every year to run Stirling Social Activities Group. For the year 2025-2026, I (Greco) have been charged £200 for the group to continue running. While we enjoy running the group, this is a significant cost for us to individually sustain, and therefore we ask for our members' contribution towards this as well. We do not enforce this payment, however, meeting our quota ensures that we are able to keep the group going!

Any excess member dues collected above the subscription fee will be put back into the group through discounted events, or donated to a local charity. Organisers will not make any profit from the group.

The organising team are happy to answer any questions about Meetup payments and fees.
