Touch Reservoir from Cambusbarron

Join Forth Valley Young Walkers for a hike through the Touch Hills to Touch Resevoir.
We will start outside Cambusbarron Community Centre at 11:15am, and work out way up to the reservoirs for lunch, before heading back down to finish at approximately 4pm. It's an 8 mile (13k) walk but we will go at a moderate pace with plenty of time for breaks and photos, so the actual finish time could be earlier or later.

Terrain will be a mix of pavements and roads, as well as moorland tracks, with a few muddy spots! Good footwear which you don't mind getting dirty is essential. Please also bring along your waterproofs, lunch, and plenty of water. The start point has parking, and is not too far from Stirling train station. We have set the walk at a later time in the morning to allow time for anyone taking the train from Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Perthshire to walk over to the starting point. If you have any questions about this please get in touch with myself (Andrew) as I will be coming from the train station too!

The walk is for over-18s, unless you're accompanied by a responsible adult. If you are a Ramblers Member, please bring your Ramblers Membership Card as we'll be using the Ramblers walk registration app. If you're not yet a member, you're welcome to come and we can register you as a guest. The weather is always unpredictable, especially at this time of year. If the forecast is bad enough that it looks like we won't have a good time, then the event will be rescheduled, so please keep an eye out for any further communication.
