Monadh Liath Munros - Strenious

Details
Join Forth Valley Young Walkers group for a walk to do the Monadh Liath Munros: Càrn Dearg, Càrn Sgulain & A' Chailleach.
The hills themselves are undistinguished (particularly Càrn Sgulain), but Càrn Dearg has a feeling of remoteness and the long trek across the plateau from this peak to the others gives a feeling of great space, given favourable weather.
Please note that this walk may be cancelled at short notice in case of adverse weather.
More details here
The walk is at moderate pace, easy going uphill.
Distance: 24.5km / 15.25 miles
Elevation: 964m
Terrain: Rough going for much of the route; tracks lower down and featureless hills higher up. A line of fenceposts is an aid to navigating across the plateau.
If you need lift, please comment in the comment section.
You'll need full waterproofs, water, plenty of warm layers, proper grippy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness. An idea of what you could include in your personal kit list can be found here: https://www.ramblers.org.uk/news/blogs/2018/march/packing-your-kit.aspx
Please do get in touch if you've any questions. The walk is for over-18s, unless you're accompanied by a responsible adult.
In the event of extreme weather, we may take an alternative route. I will take that decision at least two days in advance - and notify attendees.
Please also bring your Ramblers Membership Card or download the Ramblers app which includes a QR code of your membership (if you are a member) as we'll be using the Ramblers walk registration app. If you're not yet a member, you're very welcome to come and we can register you as a guest :)
You can attend three Ramblers walks for free to see if it's for you before joining. More details at www.ramblers.org.uk/scotland
