What we’re about
The holidays have come to an end and the weather is cold. . . so warm up with us over a fun, creative event where we come together to stitch, knit, crochet, chat, connect, and share our tips and tricks in a supportive environment. We will meet at Discourse Coffee where they also have hot and cold beverages, bakery, and food items for purchase. Whether you're a beginner or an expert crafter, everyone is welcome to join the fun.
And if you are a beginner knitter, I can teach an introductory lesson on how to cast and complete basic stitches. Or, come enjoy the conversation and drinks! The plan is to have this ONE-TIME EVENT for those looking to knit a scarf or cowl, or bring your current WIP (work in progress) to create with some company. My personal goal is to donate my finished project to a local homeless shelter, but you are free to do what you'd like!
This first event will be a couple of hours. We can decide if we'd like to have another one or finish our projects on our own. If you would like, I will have a drop-off date and time to collect your completed project and donate to a shelter.
BYO: Needles, yarn/supplies, and funds for drinks and/or treats
--> (If you are a beginner, I would recommend starting with bamboo needles and chunky yarn - worsted 5-7. These types of needles are easier to grip, and thicker yarn is harder to make holes with.)
So, grab your current WIP and come join us for a laid-back Stitch and B*tch session filled with laughter, creativity, and camaraderie!
