What we’re about
Welcome to StitchUp – a welcoming social group that embraces individuals of all skill levels and all areas of textile art and craft.
We are holding fortnightly meetups where members can join in-person and stitch together in a social setting.
Background – StitchUp began among friends with a shared love for textile crafts, evolving into a thriving group with regular meetups. Unfortunately, the group faced a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic but we would now like to revive these regular meetings in a social, in-person setting.
Location – We usually make use of the free provided areas within the Barbican Center. But availability will depend on the size of the group and on how many other people make use of the free facilities that night. We therefore can only share the exact location with the people who have signed up on the night of the event.
Some of the meetings are held in my studio space in Bloomsbury. This is a smaller more quiet setting, if people prefer this over bustling Barbican setting.
