Revit-Up. Let's Get Going!
Details
Welcome to our first Meetup event where we'll be learning how to build a pergola using Revit. For all you DIYers this will be a fun 'cover' for the real treat of enjoying an easy Sunday afternoon under the sun. It will be a beginner's guide to get you started on using the CAD tools in Revit to lay the foundation for self-learning or future development. So, come prepared with an installed version of Revit if you can. No worries though if you're having issues with installing and need some help. Just be mindful that we'll be at Northwest Coffee Roasting Co., so sharing the bandwidth with others would be something to consider. Fantastic coffee, by the way! https://northwestcoffee.com/
An aim for this group is to introduce a fun project each Sunday using various CAD software. For this week we'll be building a 12' x 16' Attached Patio Cover from https://www.strongtie.com/homeowners/projects . Specifically, you can download this PDF to get you familiar with the build: https://ssttoolbox.widen.net/view/pdf/q1uvwmqcps/DIY-PPATPTCVR24.pdf?t.download=true . If you're a complete newbie, you can also jump start your learning with a training video like this one: https://youtu.be/CTUkmDfIOUM?si=ULz7T7O_qLcM4CSr .
We'll only spend about an hour presenting this project though. The rest of the time can be used to work on projects or to assist with answering questions. Chances are we'll be learning by helping, so don't be shy. No one knows all the answers, but someone should be able to point you in the right direction. That's another joy of studying CAD with others. So, let's kick this group off using the right footing! (Revit talk)
We look forward to seeing you there!
