Welcome to My Block. There's an ACAD Library, & It's DYNamic!

Welcome to this week's Meetup where we'll learn how to create dynamic blocks and store them in our own private library using AutoCAD! Why? Because dynamic blocks are AWEsome. Convenience is built into the crafting of each custom block, ready to flex its utility at command. Sure, being able to quickly move lines and shapes around is great, but sometimes you need geometry that can really dance to the music of your workflow. Like autonomous acrobats modeled and trained to dazzle in infinite space – even in unison!

We'll get started on using various features and commands in the block editor and menus and play with attributes to layer them in 2D space and then build dynamic blocks with fields for inputting text and more. If you're familiar with AutoCAD, this will be a nice refresher. If not, then definitely check out a training video like this one beforehand to get familiar with basic commands. To speed things up we'll pull some basic office furniture blocks from here https://dwgmodels.com/1191-office-furniture-plan.html and make them dynamic. You can also bring your own you've downloaded and we can work out together how to make them do MORE.

As always we're here to help lay the foundation for self-learning or future development. If you want to continue alone with any project from a prior week, then go for it, or let's build on it together. We'll also continue to introduce a fun project each Sunday using various CAD software.
