Join us for a casual and engaging Effective Altruism Happy Hour at the St. Louis Foundry! Whether you’re deeply involved in effective altruism or just curious about how to make a meaningful impact in the world, this is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and build connections in a relaxed atmosphere.

We'll be at the large cluster of tables when you first walk in to the Foundry dining area so it should be easy to spot us.

Come ready to discuss high-impact causes, thoughtful giving, and ways to maximize our efforts for a better world—all while grabbing food or drinks. No prior knowledge of effective altruism is needed—just a desire to make a difference, learn, or make connections with others.
Feel free to bring friends, colleagues, or anyone interested in using reason and evidence to improve lives.

Since the dawn of humanity, we have the solstice in awe. Once a moment to thank our gods and pray for the oncoming winter, we now mark it with celebrations of human life and the scale of our accomplishments.

Come to the Lake of the Ozarks with us for a celebration of human life and community! We will meet at an AirBNB that will serve as the host location for everyone. It will also have limited availability for those who want to stay until Sunday. The festivities begin with a sunrise viewing on the dawn of June 21 and will continue throughout the day. The solstice will culminate in a sunset vigil and bonfire to commemorate the fading light of the summer's peak. Cost will be $90 per person including food, drinks, and lodging if interested. We are looking for volunteers! If you'd like to recite poetry, prose, or music at our sunset vigil, we'd love to hear it! And if you are a chef in the kitchen, we want you as our food and drinks coordinator.
