Node.js and Drupal — Working Together

Meetup starts at 6:30pm, with 30 minutes of social time. Beginning at 7pm, Jeff Geerling (http://jeffgeerling.com/) will present Node.js and Drupal — Working Together:

Midwestern Mac, LLC (http://www.midwesternmac.com/) has integrated a small, scalable Node.js application into their Drupal-powered Server Check.in (https://servercheck.in/) service. Jeff will take us on an exploration of integrating the two platforms, and explain how this work has enabled the service to scale to hundreds of thousands of ICMP ping and HTTP status checks per day.

Starting about 8:30pm, we'll move into a hacking session to experiment with the material that's been presented, and with JavaScript and Node.js in general.
