Date: Friday, July 25th
π Time: 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
π Meeting Point: Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park, 13725 Marine Ave, Maryland Heights, MO 63043
Hello Everyone!
Join us for an informative and proactive evening as we visit the West Lake Landfill in St. Louis. Our goal is to learn more about environmental concerns in St. Louis and advocate for the health and well-being of our residents. To get the most out of this event, please review at least one of these beforehand: the timeline on the Missouri Coalition for the Environment website, the story of JustMomsSTL, the film Atomic Homefront (also available to rent at STL libraries).
Schedule:
- 5:30 PM: Meet at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park (Tremayne Shelter).
- 5:40 PM: Carpool to the West Lake Landfill (12 min drive).
- 6:15 PM: Return to Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park. Discuss updates about radioactive waste clean-up and medical support programs. Draft messages to local healthcare providers and friends to inform them about the new medical support program.
- 6:30 PM: Wrap up. Feel free to hike around Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park afterwards!
This is a great way to get outside, learn about some literal dumpster fires happening in our own backyards, and support our neighbors. All are welcome!
Looking forward to seeing you there!
