In serverless, we should prefer an asynchronous, event-driven approach. However, with messages flying around all over the place, we need to ensure scalability, replication, durability, and resiliency. Apache Kafka has proven itself to be a fantastic, enterprise-grade platform for streaming high volumes of messages.

What a great time to be doing serverless!

Meetings will start at 5:30 and end at or before 7:00pm. We will be on Zoom for sure, but are considering doing a hybrid in-person / virtual meetings. Stay tuned for more details.
