Serverless on Google Cloud (2024)

You are cordially invited to join us at the next St. Louis Serverless Meetup on October 1st at 5:30pm on Zoom. We'll be talking about serverless on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

We often talk about AWS in ur serverless group, but GCP has some excellent serverless offerings. From serverless functions to containers to eventing for asynchronous serverless architectures, GCP has all you need - and is very price competitive with AWS.

Of course, if you attended our Knative talk at the beginning of September, you already know you can install Knative in your Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) cluster and have a full FaaS, serving, and eventing serverless experience.

For this meeting, we won't talk Kubernetes, but will look at the following GCP serverless offerings:

• Cloud Run Functions
• Cloud Run (containers)
• Eventarc
• We'll also discuss a few others like: Pub/Sub, Secrets Manager, Scheduler, Google Cloud Storage (GCS), maybe more!
