BBQ and Compliance - A Tasty Combination

Details

Sorry for the wait on this event posting…we think you will find the wait was worth it!  Hope to see you on February 26.  Please see the brief description below.

Approximately 4 million people in the US and Europe - roughly 1% of the entire workforce - work in compliance and audit. That is a lot of resources managing a lot of compliance regulations. Whether it is HIPAA, DORA, GDPR, ISO, SOC2, to Dodd-Frank, the regulatory industry keeps expanding.

In this talk, Atlassian Expert Ed Gaile (see his bio below) is going to show how Atlassian tools such as JSM, Jira, Confluence, and Rovo can be used to build a compliance framework to support your growing regulatory needs.

And of course there will be BBQ for all to enjoy!  Ed is also a BBQ Pitmaster, and he plans to have ample amount of BBQ on hand for all to enjoy.  So while we hope you come to this event for the content, you should also be ‘content’ with the array of food and beverages that we’ll have for you to enjoy.

All you have to do is register and show up!  Active listening and participation and an appetite are of course all encouraged.

See the rough agenda below…key elements: we plan to start Ed’s presentation ‘on time’ at 6pm, but food will be available - we hope - as of 5:30pm when ‘the doors are open’, so come a bit early if you can.

A special thanks to the AI tools Claude (for the image generation prompt ideas) and Stable Diffusion (for the Ai generated images used for this event)

Speaker

Ed Gaile - Appfire (Principal Solution Architect)

Hosted By

Tom Crespi, Atlassian User Group Leader

Tom's academic background is in the biological sciences. His undergrad experiences included research and that interest in learning and discovery carried into early career experiences in quality improvement for companies including Chevron, Monsanto and Bayer (American Society for Quality-sponsored certifications include Certified Quality Engineer) .

Organizational change management became a passion since 2000. The realization that employee engagement was a powerful factor involved in successful change led to his interest to explore, recommend and eventually to deploy a succession of collaboration tools over the past 20 years. These tools were utilized in the change management practice he led for almost 20 years at Graybar (Fortune 500 distributor).

He has spoken publicly about the value of collaboration applications in organizations, spent a few years on a popular application's Product Advisory Board, and has certifications that attests to his knowledge and understanding of how to use and deploy them.
