These meetups will be a little different - there may or may not be a meetup host at these events, so this is more a way to let people in this group know these history talks are taking place. You may or may not see anyone else from the meetup group there if you choose to go.
Thursday Nights at the Museum is a weekly series where the museum exhibits are open late and you can enjoy pop-up activities, a cash bar, food and more.
"Acclaimed journalist and master storyteller Carol Daniel takes center stage for a powerful podcast event. This special live episode of Listen St. Louis with Carol Daniel asks us to reckon with a deeper truth, exploring “Our American Story: African Americans’ Integral Role in Building St. Louis.”
Presented in partnership with the Missouri Historical Society and Nine PBS, this special evening marks the culmination of the broader collaboration with Black History Is St. Louis History series—bringing forward stories that have shaped the region, yet too often remain untold.
Guided by Carol Daniel’s signature insight and depth, the program features special gusts Cecily Hunter, MHS Public Historian, and Lyah B. LeFlore-Ituen, MHS Director of the African American History Initiative. Together, these voices bridge past and present, illuminating the legacy of the enslaved African Americans whose skill, craftsmanship, and labor helped build St. Louis—men and women often hired out for their expertise, whose contributions shaped the city’s foundations. This live podcast event is more than a recording; this is a moment of recognition, restoration, and truth." from https://mohistory.org/events/juneteenth-nine-pbs
