Donald Edward Stahl

September 23, 1943 – March 22, 2017

Donald Stahl (73), originally from Florissant MO, died suddenly of a heart attack at Washington University where he was pursuing a Master’s degree in international affairs. Beloved son of the late Alice T. Gerard-Stahl and the late Albert F. Stahl, brother of Edward Gerard and the late Albert Stahl, and beloved friend of David J. Arnold, Maureen P. McKenzie, Joseph B. Gibbs, Joyce M. Marini, and many many others.

Mr. Stahl had earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1972, a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1980 and an education specialist degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1989.
Washington University will award an advanced certificate in international affairs posthumously in recognition of the academic work Stahl completed.

Don will be remembered as a courageous, intelligent and kind-hearted man, who was a retired social worker and was deeply dedicated to the 9-11 Truth movement. He was a member of Mensa International and The Triple Nine Society and presented papers at their meetings. He also published a number of articles.

Memorial Service Sunday, April 9, at 3pm at Hope Chapel, First Unitarian Church, 5007 Waterman Blvd., St. Louis Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at Washington University, The Southern Poverty Law Center or the ACLU of Eastern Missouri.
