About us
We’re the St. Louis Urbanists, a grassroots advocacy group working to create safer and more effective infrastructure for pedestrians, bicycle users, transit riders, and even car drivers in the St. Louis region. Our movement aims to promote better urban design through education, organization, and engagement at every level.
We hope to create a community for like-minded individuals to hang out and discuss transportation, urban design, local politics, and other similar topics. You can join us at our online Discord server, where we share tactical wins, post resources, and discuss local issues.
Our main in-person meetups are on the 2nd Thursday of every month. These meetings are open to all. The first half of these meetings is formal discussion of our organization and project updates, and the second half is social.
In addition, we have a number of recurring meetups, such as Social Bike Rides, Urbanist Book Club, and Bus Bike Brunch. We're always coming up with new meetup ideas, and let us know if you have an idea of your own!

Mechanical Monday - Community Bike Repair Clinic
Last Stop Bike Shop, 4553 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO, USJoin St. Louis Urbanists and Last Stop Bike Shop for a 3-hour open clinic where you get to learn basic repairs on your own bicycle! Come any time between 4 and 7pm.
Please check your Meetup messages leading up to the event to confirm your RSVP.
During the clinic, Last Stop Bike Shop mechanics can guide you through essential repairs like fixing a flat tire, adjusting your shifting, and adjusting your brakes. This is a great opportunity to dig out your old bicycle that isn’t working well. But what if your bike is functioning perfectly? No problem! There is still a lot to learn from watching professional mechanics work. If you’re a bike nerd who just wants to talk bikes, you are welcome too. Remember to bring your own bicycle!
Mechanical Monday happens every Monday at Last Stop Bike Shop from 4-7pm, but the Mechanical Monday on March 30th will be hosted in collaboration with St. Louis Urbanists.
To facilitate a healthy learning environment, this event is limited to 15 attendees. Please RSVP on Meetup.
