I sent out an email a while back asking for suggestions on what you'd like to see or not see, do or not do, talk about or not talk about, etc. I didn't get an overwhelming influx of mail, so I thought I'd try again as we get closer to the meetup. Here goes:
Quick history: After meeting with Matt during WordCampStL, and upon finding out that Chris would be moving out of state, my company (goBRANDgo!, an integrated targeted marketing firm in Benton Park) agreed to take over hosting/organizing the meetup/WordCamp.
And so it falls to me, a WordPress Meetup novice, to spearhead the movement. All of us at goBRANDgo! are very excited, and can't wait to meet, talk, and learn from and with you all.
I'd like for this to be as fun and functional as possible, so I have to lean on you as a community, and ask what you've done in the past, what worked, what didn't, and what you'd like to see moving forward.
What I do know is that there will be snacks and beverages (chips, dips, cheese, crackers, soda, water, coffee, wine, beer), there will be a space (our office, a great old building on the corner of Wisconsin and Utah), and there will be professionals that have worked in WP from all possible angles (folks from goBRANDgo!). Outside of that...I got nothin' in the way of structure or direction.
So if you'd like to have a say in how this progresses...now's your chance.
Thanks for your time, and I hope to both hear from you now and see you then!
