Generative AI for Security Operations
The popularity of Large Language Models (LLMs) has opened up a wide possibility. This will definitely impact security operations. This talk will look at opportunities and challenges of this advent. Primarily the focus will be on the Elastic AI assistant for Security. Elastic® introduced Elastic AI Assistant, the open, generative AI sidekick powered by ESRE to democratize cybersecurity and enable users of every skill level. It offers users prebuilt, recommended prompts as well as specific context for the LLM.
This talk will focus on how the Elastic AI Assistant can be used for:
-
Alert, findings and investigation summarization
-
Investigation flow suggestions
-
Query generation and conversions using natural language
-
Data collection and integration advice, plus much more!
Speaker: Marvin Ngoma (Sr. Security Specialist @Elastic)
The past, the present, and the future of Elasticsearch at Meltwater
Meltwater is a SaaS online media monitoring and analysis company serving tens of thousands of customers worldwide.
In the talk we will show Meltwaters largest Elasticsearch cluster which is approaching 10 years as of now. We will go through the history of the cluster, our use cases, our search load and our scale (currently 3PB large and indexing 10k-20k docs/second)
We will also show some details on what we have done to tune and optimize it to be fast, stable and cost efficient.
Lastly, we will also talk about the current projects we are working on and what new Elasticsearch features we plan to integrate and enable for our customers.
Speaker: Sture Svensson (Senior Software Engineer @Meltwater)
