We’re excited to return to Kulturhuset on Thursday 5th February for a screening of the German film Sound Of Falling, a favourite among the SICC organising team at the recent Stockholm Film Festival 2025, and the winner of the Cannes Jury Prize 2025.

As always, the film will be screened with English subtitles, and we’ll gather afterwards in a nearby bar to meet, connect, and chat about the film together.

About the film:
Set in a farm in rural Germany and unfolding across multiple generations, Sound Of Falling is a haunting and emotionally precise drama that explores memory, loss, and the quiet moments that shape our lives. The film traces the echoes of a single, life-altering event as it ripples through time, revealing how trauma, silence, and love are passed down from one generation to the next. Told with restraint and visual elegance, the story moves between different eras and perspectives, gradually building a layered portrait of lives connected by history and circumstance.

The film’s subtle performances and atmospheric storytelling invite the audience into an intimate reflection on how the past continues to shape the present. Following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the Jury Prize, Sound Of Falling has been widely praised for its emotional intelligence and formal precision.
