Discover Brazilian partner dancing in a friendly and welcoming environment with Forró Stockholm association.

Every Wednesday in the spring of 2026, there will be classes in Forró and Samba de Gafieira. It starts from scratch at the beginning of the semester and build up progressively in each class. Please note that it is not possible to join now if you have no experience in these dances, as the semester started in January.

What is Forró?

Forró is a couple dance and a genre of music that originated in northeast Brazil and has evolved to include many different musical beats and dance styles. In the beginning, Forró was associated with the working class. However, it is now very much international.

What is Samba de Gafieira?

Samba de Gafieira is a Brazilian partner dance that originated in Rio de Janeiro. It combines smooth movements, elegant footwork, and playful interaction, danced to classic Brazilian samba music. The dance is expressive and social, offering both accessibility for beginners and depth for dancers who want to grow.

  • Every Wednesday
  • From January 28 to May 27
  • No class on April 8

Schedule:

  • 17:30 to 18:30 Samba de Gafieira Open Level
  • 18:30 to 19:30 Forró Beginners
  • 19:30 to 20:30 Forró Intermediate

Prices:

Three types of tickets:

  • The whole semester, 2890 SEK
  • Clip card with 14 classes, 2520 SEK
  • Clip card with 10 classes, 1900 SEK
