Qigong with Maria HallstrΓΆm
Yeshe Norbu Mind Training Centre, Roslagsgatan 62, Stockholm, SEEvery second Tuesday Maria HallstrΓΆm offers qi gong at Yeshin Norbu Centre. Qi gong involves conscious movements to optimise energy flow, flexibility, strength, breathing and coordination in a calm and meditative state. The movements are flowing and gentle, but the effect is powerful and invigorating for both the musculoskeletal system and the mind.
In qi gong we find a dimension that is often missing in other forms of training where the emphasis is mostly on musculature and physical structure. That dimension is awareness, that is, the concentration on the inner power reinforced by conscious breathing.
Another important aspect of qi gong is experiencing different expressions of energy in the body. Qi gong literally means βenergy workβ, or more figuratively translated: βto cultivate life energyβ. Here we have the opportunity to create and experience both subtle but also vibrating and pulsating energy in our muscles, joints, bones, connective tissue and the communication system in the form of our energy pathways. Most Welcome to join these invigorating classes!

Kum Nye - Tibetan Yoga Weekend Retreat
Yeshe Norbu Mind Training Centre, Roslagsgatan 62, Stockholm, SEKum Nye is a meditative practice for the body and mind that leads to increased balance and well-being. The practice consists of movement and breathing exercises, self-massage, visualisations and sitting quietly between movements. Kum Nye is called Tibetan yoga but is not similar to what we usually associate with yoga. Anyone can participate, and you do not need to be trained to benefit from the practice. Kum Nye is something you can immerse yourself in and develop into your own daily practice. For those who already have a Buddhist practice, Kum Nye can be a complement that supports and assists in other meditations. This was one of the reasons why Tarthang Tulku created the Kum Nye system we use. Kum Nye was practised in Tibet, but not in the systematic form we encounter in the three books on Kum Nye published by Tarthang Tulku.
During this weekend, we will be introduced to Kum Nye's exercises and philosophy. The program will mainly be based on exercises and texts from the book Kum Nye Tibetan Relaxation, but inspiration will also be drawn from Tarthang Tulku's books The Joy of Being, Kum Nye Dancing and his latest Gesture of Great Love.
Course registration is for the entire weekend only, as two days provide more opportunity to fully understand the practice and its value. A prerequisite for participation is therefore attendance on Saturday in order to participate on Sunday.
