Welcome to celebrate Lama Tsongkhapa day and Christmas Gathering at Yeshin Norbu. Feel free to bring food along to our PotLuck Christmas Lunch.
Lama Tsongkhapa Day is the celebration of Lama Tsongkhapa’s parinirvana, when he passed away and left his earthly body. This auspicious occasion falls this year on December 14, 2025.
Je Tsongkhapa (1357–1419) is the founder the Gelug Lineage tradition. A great reformer of Buddhist doctrine, Tsongkhapa clarified the texts and composed a number of treatises, among which are several lamrim works setting out the complete path to enlightenment.
The practices will be led by our resident teacher Venerable Thubten Khadro
Schedule for the day
10 to 12.30pm: Lama Choepa
12.30 to 2.00pm: Pot-luck lunch
2.00pm to 4pm: Light offerings to the stupa and Christmas activities
