Pre-Data Innovation Summit Meet-Up!

All right!

April 23 we will host our next Stockholm MLOps Community Meet-Up! This time around we will team up with Weights & Biases, Stormgrid, Crowd Collective and AI Sweden to set up a meet-up ahead of the Data Innovation Summit happening the same week!

The format will be similar to previous meetups with three speakers and a moderated Q&A session.

- Talks begin at 17:45 CET

- Pizzas from our favorite pizzeria Deglabbet arrive 19:00 CET

- And there will be beers courtesy our favorite local brewery Omnipollo (and non-alcoholic options)...

- The moderated Q&A session will kick off around 19:45 CET.

This evening, we will hear from:

• Kim Henriksson, Edge Lab Wizard at AI Sweden who will give a talk titled "AI Sweden, an open testbed for MLOps." Through collaboration AI Sweden wants aid organisations in their MLOps journey. We primarily do this by facilitating a neutral platform, together with our partners, for all types of AI related experimentation and learning. We believe that cross-sector sharing and collaboration is one of the key accelerators for efficient MLOps implementation and development. The session will introduce you to AI Sweden, the national testbed and the opportunities available.
• Jacob Granath, Chief Operating Officers at Stormgrid who will give a talk titled "Avoid making your solution stack a pain-point for AI innovation." Jacob will walk us through an AI stack and learn best practices when architecting AI solutions. Learn what the most common mistakes organizations make are, and understand how you can incorporate this holistic mindset covering developer/data scientist needs with operational aspects, and also the organizational perspective - all in one complete platform.
• Thomas Capelle, Machine Learning Engineer at Weights & Biases who will give a talk titled "An experimental approach to pruning and fine-tuning 7B models." Thomas will dig into how we can build small LLMs from pre-trained LLMs. We will explore a collaborative effort to create a small Mistral 2B starting from the 7B version. Such a model could be used for computing on edge or as a drafter for the parent model. Organizing experimentation like this can be daunting, and fully utilizing expensive compute infrastructure is key. Learn how W&B Launch can help your team tame those GPUs and make them go brrr!”

The Q&A session will be moderated by Niklas Furderer, Senior Data Scientist at Crowd Collective.

The venue located at Solnavägen 3h 4th floor has two main entrance doors, separated by a big highway but only one leads to the right event venue. Watch out for signs and friendly Crowdies guiding you the way! :-)
