Post-NDSML Meetup!
Details
All right!!!
I'm excited to announce that we will once more run a meetup in connection with the Nordic Data Science & Machine Learning Summit (NDSML) October 24!!!
The program is now complete! We have a sponsor (Weights & Biases), a change of moderators (so now Saroosh Shabbir at Silo AI) and four amazing speakers in place (Thomas Capelle at Weights & Biases, Martin Dlask at King, Prafful Mishra at Epidemic Sound and Göran Sandahl at Opper AI). We now also have a venue!! Woop! Woop!
Event Program
- Doors open at 17:00 CET
- Talks begin at 17:45 CET
- This time, pizzas will unfortunately not be provided by our favorite pizzeria Deglabbet but they will arrive 19:15 CET
- This time, beers will be provided by Brutal Brewing. There will be non-alcoholic options as well.
- The moderated Q&A session will kick off around 19:45 CET.
Speaker Line-Up
-
Thomas Capelle, Machine Learning Engineer at Weights & Biases who will give a talk titled "Building LLM-powered Apps with confidence". Abstract: "So, you are ready to replace your complex pipeline with an LLM call? Think again! This may backfire or fail silently, but Thomas, LLMs are fantastic and can solve complex tasks. Yes but… This needs appropriate tooling and observability. Version control of your codebase is insufficient; you must keep track of the LLM responses and build a robust set of evals for your whole pipeline. Let me show you some LLM-powered applications and what tooling you should use.”
-
Martin Dlask, Associate Director of Data Science at King who will give a talk titled "Building pipelines for increasing relevancy in a mobile game". The talk will cover points such as:
- use-case presentation, business case
- modelling aspects – scale-adaptive modelling approach
- MLOps pipeline – pipeline description and implementation challenges
- feedback loop management and online/offline system performance -
Prafful Mishra, MLOps Engineer at Epidemic Sound who will give a talk titled "Questions with MLOps". Abstract: "The presentation will consist of loads of questions around MLOps. These thought provoking questions would make you ponder on aspects that are absolutely necessary (but usually ignored) to implement MLOps practices at scale."
-
Göran Sandahl, CEO & Co-Founder Opper AI who will give a talk titled "Breaking the barrier between Developers, Data and AI". Abstract: "Data gains value when transformed into action. Effective actions rely on quality data. Meanwhile, Developers are crucial in turning actions into solutions that people can use. This talk explores the synergy between developers, data, and generative AI and why dismantling the silos is important for us to get value from our flops."
See you there,
Patrick
