• 17:35 - 18:10 SQL Injection: Attacks & Defenses (How do attackers exfiltrate data and how can we prevent it?) - Mostafa Moradian, Senior Software Engineer at Grafana Labs
• Abstract: In this talk, Mostafa will talk about the basics of SQL injection attacks, how security professionals test systems against these vulnerabilities and use defensive mechanisms and tools to protect vulnerable systems and applications while demonstrating the SQL IDS/IPS plugin for GatewayD. He'll dive deep into SQL injection attacks from the OWASP Top 10 perspective, showcase a vulnerable app and execute a live attack against it. Then the detection mechanisms and prevention techniques and tools are explored. After this session, the audience will have a better understanding of the SQL injection vulnerability and how to prevent it using defensive programming and other tools and techniques.
• 18:10 - 18:45 How to gain advantage from using Streaming Data on top of Kafka - Gustav Norbäcker, Solution Architect at Irori
• Abstract: In this talk, Gustav will discuss how to leverage streaming data to gain a competitive advantage. He'll break down the benefits in three key areas: service quality, feature velocity, and cost efficiency. The talk will also include a deep dive into a real-world example, showcasing the implementation of Event Driven Architecture to an existing customer master for a Swedish retailer.
